About Dashing Coons
Dashing Coons started with a simple obsession: finding the most impressive Maine Coons on the planet and building a program around them. We're a TICA-registered cattery in Southern Illinois, and we specialize in European smoke lines — the kind with dramatic silver undercoats, wild ear furnishings, and the size and structure that makes people stop and stare.
Every breeding cat is UC Davis health-tested. Every kitten is raised in our home, handled daily, and goes to their new family vet-checked, vaccinated, and with full documentation. We stay in touch after placement — this isn't a transaction, it's a relationship.

We're based in Wood River, Illinois and Ballwin, Missouri — near St. Louis. We offer complimentary delivery for most of the United States. We travel with our kittens personally so they arrive safely and you get those first moments together in your own home.

Ethical Breeding Standards
We follow TICA breeding guidelines and ensure our queens receive appropriate recovery time between litters. We do not overbreed. We do not rush development.
Because we prioritize health over volume, we often accept reservations on future litters.
Health & Genetic Responsibility
Health is non-negotiable. All breeding cats are genetically tested through UC Davis for Maine Coon-related hereditary conditions, and we run Wisdom Panel annually on all breeding cats. Kittens sold as breeders receive the same full genetic panel — pet kittens are covered through parent-level testing, which is the responsible cattery standard.

Breeding Rights
Breeding rights are available to approved programs for a small additional fee. We are selective when granting breeding rights and prioritize working with ethical, health-focused breeders who align with responsible breeding standards. All breeding placements are discussed individually. Pet placements are standard unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
