At Dashing Coons, we didn't stumble into breeding — we built a program from the ground up with a clear vision: produce the healthiest, most structurally impressive, and most temperamentally sound European Maine Coons in the Midwest.

Why European Lines?

European Maine Coons have a distinctly different look from their American counterparts — wilder, more imposing, with taller ear tufts, higher cheekbones, and squarer muzzles. We fell in love with that regal presence and made it the foundation of our program. Our breeding cats carry pedigrees from Russia and Ukraine, bringing that authentic European structure to families across the United States.

The Smoke Specialization

We specialize in smoke Maine Coons — cats with silver roots and darker tipping that creates a breathtaking contrast when the coat moves. Black smoke, blue smoke, tortie smoke, and smoke with white are our primary focus. The smoke pattern is one of the most visually striking in the breed, and we've built our program around producing it consistently with excellent contrast.

Health First, Always

Every breeding cat at Dashing Coons is DNA-screened through UC Davis VGL / Optimal Selection for HCM, SMA, and PKDef. Current panels are being refreshed as part of our 2026 start-fresh health program. Dated reports are shared with serious buyers on request. This isn't optional — it's the baseline. We don't breed cats with concerning results, and we're transparent about our testing with every family.

In-Home, Not Commercial

Our kittens are born and raised inside our home. They sleep in our beds, play in our living rooms, and grow up surrounded by the sounds and rhythms of daily family life. This early socialization is irreplaceable — it's what produces the confident, affectionate temperaments our families rave about.

Transparency as a Standard

We offer live video calls, in-person visits, and ongoing photo updates because we believe families deserve to see exactly what they're getting. We're listed on the TICA breeder directory. We have verified social media pages. We don't hide behind a website — we show up.
