Dashing Coons is based in Ballwin, Missouri — right in the heart of the St. Louis metro — and we're one of the only TICA-registered European Maine Coon catteries in the region. We're not a large-scale operation. We're a small, home-based cattery where every kitten is raised in our living room, handled daily, and socialized with people from birth.

St. Louis families are always welcome to come to our Ballwin location by appointment — meet our breeding cats, see where the kittens are raised, and spend time with the kittens before you commit. You can meet Cyrus, Cheetoe, Jolene, Dolly, and Spooky. You can see the space. You can ask every question you have face to face. We encourage it.

What We Breed

We specialize in black smoke, blue smoke, and polydactyl Maine Coons with authentic European bloodlines from Russia and Ukraine. Smoke coats are one of the most visually dramatic traits in the breed — kittens are born nearly solid black and slowly reveal a breathtaking silver undercoat over the first year. Our polydactyl kittens carry the extra-toe trait that has been part of the Maine Coon breed since its New England origins. St. Louis families who've visited us consistently say our kittens are unlike anything they've seen locally.

Health Testing and Guarantees

Every breeding cat at Dashing Coons is genetically tested through UC Davis — the gold standard for Maine Coon health screening. We test for HCM, SMA, PKD, and PK Deficiency. Every kitten comes with a written health guarantee, TICA registration paperwork, and a sales contract. A $1,000 deposit reserves your kitten and activates your guarantee — it's applied toward your total, so the remaining balance is due at pickup.

Pickup in Ballwin — No Delivery Required

For St. Louis families, pickup at our Ballwin location is the most common option. You come to us, spend time with your kitten, and take them home the same day. We walk you through everything — feeding, litter, vet recommendations, what to expect in the first week — and we stay available after the sale. We've had families come back to visit months later just to show us how their kitten has grown.
