Four years, because I would rather stand behind a kitten long enough for anything hereditary to actually show up than hand you a piece of paper that expires before it matters.

The contract starts the day your deposit is accepted. The four-year clock starts the day the kitten goes home. Every kitten, every placement. No tiers and no upgrades to buy.

What it covers

Hereditary genetic conditions that trace back to my breeding cats. If your kitten is diagnosed with one inside four years, I will work with you to make it right — a replacement kitten, a partial refund or credit, or something else we agree on together. You will talk to me, not a form.

What it does not cover

I would rather tell you this now than argue about it later. It does not cover illness, accident, injury, or anything environmental. It does not cover conditions unrelated to hereditary genetics. It does not replace good veterinary care, and it does not apply if the kitten is not kept on the veterinary schedule in the contract.

Where my health testing actually stands

A guarantee is only worth the testing behind it, so here is the honest version. I am rebuilding every breeding cat's DNA panel from scratch in 2026 through UC Davis VGL / Optimal Selection, covering HCM (the MYBPC3 A31P mutation), SMA, and PKDef. I will not call a cat screened until I am holding a dated report with its name on it.

Board-certified echocardiograms and OFA/PawPeds hip evaluations are part of that rebuild. They are not finished, and I will not say they are until the reports are in my hand.

Whatever dated reports I do have, you get copies before any money changes hands. If I do not have one yet, I will tell you that instead.
